Advice to schools, settings and parents
The population now has much stronger protection against COVID-19 than at any other point in the pandemic. Whilst there is still a risk of COVID-19 infection which should be treated seriously, the population generally now has much stronger protections against the virus. This means it can be managed like other respiratory infections.
Please see City and Hackney’s COVID-19 guidance for schools and settings which provides local information for prevention, mitigation and control of COVID-19. It also summarises national guidance on managing suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in your school or setting, as well as when to consider taking additional action.

HR and staffing
The HR Coronavirus FAQs address potential teaching/support staffing matters that may arise due to coronavirus. This includes information about reporting absence for those schools using iTrent for payroll purposes.
