About us

In 2002, when The Learning Trust took responsibility for education in Hackney, the Key Stage 2 results in 2002 were the worst in England, with Hackney ranked as the bottom LEA for English, Maths and Science.

Fast forward to 2016 and the results could not be more different. Hackney is currently the highest performing local authority in the country in each of the core subjects of reading, writing and maths at key stage 1. This success continues at key stage 2 where we are the fifth highest ranking local authority at both the ‘expected level’ and ‘higher level’ thresholds in the combined reading, writing and maths indicator. At GCSE level, our results in the new Progress 8 measure also put us first equal in England.

We now provide a broad range of services to schools in Hackney and further afield. Our experts work across 21 specialist service areas, ranging from Teaching and Learning, Leadership and Management, Educational Psychology and IT. Our teams include ex - Headteachers, curriculum specialists and school business experts.

We would like to use our experience of transforming attainment to support your school or academy, whatever your current situation. Our history of working with schools successfully means our services are shaped to meet your needs. When working with us, your school will benefit from:

  • A bespoke approach that is tailored to meet the needs of your school
