Our qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapists are skilled in identifying and supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
Schools commission blocks of time – one/two/three days a week for example. This time is combined with core time so it can be used flexibly to meet the individual school’s needs. We deliver support for speech language and communication needs in line with the Graduated Response. This may direct work with individual children and young people, training for staff and parents as well as support to develop the communication environment within the school. The aim is that all interventions are effective and sustainable. We can develop service models as requested to meet individual school needs.
The speech and language therapist will form part of the “team around the school” along with other colleagues to help the school develop support for speech language and communication.
Launchpad for Language is our innovative Early Years intervention in which a Speech and Language Therapist works with your staff and students to boost their language development. Evidence shows that it really gets children ready for reading.
