Healthy Early Years London Award (HEYL) Framework

The Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) framework has been relaunched, managed by the National Children's Bureau (NCB),  it is better aligned with the EYFS statutory framework, reduces paperwork (especially at Bronze level), and enhances child health. 

Key changes include:

  • New framework: Reduced workload and clear progression, particularly at the Bronze level
  • Alignment: Updated to align with the latest EYFS (2024 and September 2025 updates) and NCB requirements
  • New portal: Users must register with a new password to log on to the new website
  • Easier renewals: Bronze renewals now require uploading audits via the new portal.
