The Forest School professional development events will provide all Forest School trained practitioners, outdoor leaders or teachers to gain and develop skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver new fun and creative Forest School activities.

We are aware that due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the government advice is that social gatherings should not take place. Unfortunately, this may have an impact on this event if guidelines are still in place.

Title: Playing with words in the outdoors and summertime activities with Jon Cree
Venue: Clapton Park Children's Centre, 161 Daubeney Rd, Lower Clapton, London E5 0EP (meeting point and registration). Training session will take place outside on Hackney Marshes.
Jon Cree and Lauren may look at a different way of connecting all together via technology.
Summary: This workshop will look at wordplay with the outdoors as we approach midsummers day. It is for any outdoor practitioners, forest school leaders or educators who wish to realise the importance of the outdoors both for language development and our daily and seasonal rhythms. We will be looking at a number of communication exercises and ‘craft activities to celebrate the summer.
Jon Cree is Forest School/outdoor/nature Educator who has been working with children and adults for over 25 years. He has been an inspiration for many over the years and has had a great influence around outdoor learning across England.
