Overview
Develop your school’s capacity to meet the needs of pupils with persistent literacy difficulties through a detailed screening of dyslexia. The screening provides a clear picture of the pupil's strengths and weaknesses and gives an indication of the likelihood and severity of dyslexia.
You will understand the underlying weaknesses characteristic of dyslexia and how best to support the pupil with those characteristics. You will receive practical and manageable recommendations for school staff from quality first teaching to specialist interventions.
Although these screenings and reports look at individual pupils in detail, many of the recommendations are useful for other pupils and relevant for whole class practice.
What's included?
Up to two pupils can be screened in this one-day package. A range of assessment tools are used, and following screening the school will be provided with a report for each pupil, with findings and practical recommendations to take forward.
